Today, Monday, Iraqi Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi stressed that the current situation in the country is alarming, calling on all parties in Iraq to refrain from sedition and warn against the use of weapons.


He said in an official statement that today's situation portends great danger and cannot be tolerated without the intervention of wise and influential leaders in the religious, political, clan and social fields to promote calm and restraint and warn of chaos or allow it to rise. He also said that if there is a collision in Iraq, everyone loses.


Meanwhile, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi reiterated his call for the demonstrators to immediately withdraw from the Green Zone in an emergency meeting with security leaders at the Joint Operations Headquarters on Monday to discuss recent events and protesters in government agencies.


Earlier, the Iraqi Prime Minister, the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, called on the demonstrators to withdraw from government institutions.
