  • Amniotic fluid or placenta tests: These are the two most accurate tests. They are mainly used to detect genetic disorders in the fetus, 
  • but can also detect the sex of the fetus at 10-20 weeks of gestation, insert a needle through the abdomen and into the amniotic fluid or the placenta surrounding the fetus, and take a sample dose for surgery Testing is required, 
  • but these methods have a risk of miscarriage Therefore, it is not only used to reveal the sex of the fetus.


Myths about knowing the gender of the fetus



There are several myths claiming that the gender of the fetus can be known through simple home methods, but these methods lack credibility and validity, have no scientific basis, and are therefore incorrect. These myths include: 

  • Nausea of ​​pregnancy: This method claims that pregnancy with a woman is often accompanied by severe and annoying nausea.
  • Carbonate or sodium bicarbonate: This substance is used during pregnancy to determine the sex of the fetus by adding a spoonful of the substance to half a cup of the urine of a pregnant woman. Any interaction between urine and this substance is also sex in this case a girl was born.
  • The gender of the baby is known by the appearance of the woman's belly, because when the belly is high, the gender of the baby may be male and vice versa.

  • The gender of the baby is known as the mood of the mother: if the mother is in a good mood and feels happy during pregnancy, the gender of the baby may be female, but if the mother is in a bad mood during pregnancy, the gender of the newborn may be male.
